About Scott
Scott Geboy has more than 20 years of experience advising health care clients on the full scope of the regulatory and accreditation requirements for graduate medical education ("GME"). Scott’s experience includes state and federal payment and reimbursement, Medicare GME reimbursement advocacy and cost reporting, geographic reclassification, SCH status and the non-hospital site setting. Scott also has experience maintaining Medicare GME FTE Cap during hospital consolidations, closures, mergers and creating multi-campus hospitals, recent law changes that allow some hospitals to re-establish FTE caps and PRAs, moonlighting, planning and options for new GME-naïve teaching hospitals and new programs, teaching health center GME, and GME issues for RHCs, FQHCs and children’s hospitals. In addition to reimbursement issues, Scott regularly assists new and established teaching programs on ACGME accreditation, survey and investigations. Calling upon experience with hospital licensure and survey, with the increasing emphasis on quality and safety, and hospital medical staff organizational structures, Scott informs his approach to GME with knowledge of a broad scope of practical realities facing hospitals today. Scott has spoken regionally and nationally on topics including GME contracting and Medicare GME reimbursement.
