Mike Batt draws on his experience of over 20 years as a health care and technology attorney to advise clients on the use of technology to support their strategic goals and the associated operational and financial considerations. Mike excels at bringing clients and vendors to the table to establish and rehabilitate relationships through improved relationship governance, remote hosting and outsourcing arrangements, development of procurement programs and contracting guidelines and licensing of various technologies. His experience includes participating in the development of IT organizations and serving as legal counsel through restructurings via in-sourcing, co-sourcing and out-sourcing of IT, revenue cycle and other health care operations and remote hosting arrangements, both foreign and domestic. He has extensive knowledge and experience in the communications industry, serving as a prior assistant general counsel to the Indiana Utility Regulatory Commission during the implementation of the Telecommunications Act of 1996. He works with a wide variety of clients to establish wide area networks (WAN) and other communication networks through IRU and service transactions, successfully navigating the regulatory requirements to receive grant funds under the FCC Universal Service Fund (USF) Pilot Project, Healthcare Connect Fund and the U.S. Department of Commerce National Telecommunications and Information Administration Broadband Technology Opportunities Program (BTOP).
